Update 11-13-2024

Hello everyone, sorry it's been a while since I have sent an update.

It's been pretty hectic.

My mom's home! But sadly because her insurance would not allow her to stay at the rehab anymore. Before she came home she had to go to the hospital for a few days due to her heart and potassium. Her kidneys aren't doing well either. Her heart is in very dangerous condition. Her liver is still doing good thankfully! All of these set backs can be normal after a huge transplant surgery. She's on Rejection medication, she does have a small infection but thankfully she's on serval antibiotics to help.

My name is Marilyn Baker, I'm Connies mother. As of 10-18-2024 Connie was blessed to get a new liver! Surgery went great. She was in the ICU up until today, then they moved her to the transplant floor so eventually she can be moved to a rehab center to start the process of healing. There is still a lot of work and tests to be done. The next three months are critical because the liver could reject and she needs to stay away from all germs to keep safe from rejection. We appreciate your prayers and support. With all of the testing and the surgery itself bills are still accumulating and will continue to do so for the next few months. Any support helps and we are thankful for everything.
