Support for Connie After Losing Jordan

This GoFundMe page has been created on behalf of Connie Gremmer. Connie lost so much, so quickly, so unexpectedly, and so tragically on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

It started out as a fun day…a road trip to Rochester with good friends…a day of good food, shopping, and being together with people that were more like family. But suddenly, a horrible life storm moved in without warning on this drive to Rochester, Minnesota. Heaven’s Angels came down quickly and silently and lifted Jordan into their arms and swiftly carried him away. Jordan, a young man with autism, had lived with Connie for the past eight years. She was his caretaker, his mentor, his friend, and family. He accompanied her everywhere. He trusted her. He listened to her, he learned so much from her. And she too, learned so much from him.

Connie not only lost Jordan on this day, she lost her job, she lost a companion, and she lost a portion of her well-being. Connie has been employed via Mosaic as Jordan’s caregiver and this was her full time job. All of her income and medical insurance was tied to taking care of Jordan and now Connie no longer has Jordan, her job nor health benefits/insurance. 

It’s going to take time for her to get back on her feet and start over. We know it can take time to find a new job with health benefits, let alone a job that will pay the bills with life’s high expenses right now.

We are reaching out to family, friends, and the community to help contribute to Connie so she can start over.

There will be a celebration for Jordan Lee Rawlings on Tuesday, June 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, IA 50401.
