Support Connect Me Tutoring's Mission

Connect Me Tutoring is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free, online, 1 on 1 tutoring to K-8 students who fit at least one of the following criteria:

1) The student lives in a low-income household.

2) One or more parents/guardians in the student's household is a frontline worker.

3) The student attends or has attended online school due to COVID-19.

As of January 2025, our team of 500+ college & high school volunteers have provided over 35,000 free tutoring sessions to over 2000 students in 39 states & 12 countries, and we don't plan on stopping soon. We are the largest student-run free tutoring platform in the US.

However, our organization faces several major financial concerns that create barriers to the education we provide:

1) Tutor Portal: Our organization currently use spreadsheets to track and manage tutoring sessions but to keep up with Connect Me's growth, we are developing a tutor portal, a website where tutors and students can log into and attend their sessions, no interruptions as well as contact our Operations Department or access tutoring resources.

2) Main Website fees: Connect Me is responsible for paying multiple website & domain fees that keep our servers up & running fast for any new students & tutors who'd like to register.

3) Student Outreach: As an organization, we need to reach out to the students who need us most - those in rural, socioeconomically disadvantaged areas who have fallen behind since COVID-19 school shutdowns. While we have several outreach campaigns planned, they require funding.
