Support competitive swimmers from the jungle

We are incredibly proud of our small team of 7 swimmers who are training to represent Cóbano in the  Costa Rican National Games this year in July. They would be the first swimmers to represent Cóbano EVER. If they bring home any medals, they would be the first athletes to bring home medals in ANY SPORT for Cóbano!

They are working hard, training 5 x per week and getting in the water before the sun comes up for three of those sessions (flashlights!) We hope that they can bring pride and medals to their hometown this year.

However...
Due to typical local politics, even with full support of the Municipal Sports Committee, we were unable to get funding to pay our amazing qualified coach or to pay for the pool facilities where they train. So, as usual, the cost falls to the parents, which is fine for those who are able to pay, but impossible for those who are not.

To fully fund the swimmers whose families cannot pay only costs $300/month!
