Support Compassionate Care Uganda's Coffee Farm Dream
Donation protected

I’m Steven Wingrove, Chairperson of the Compassionate Care Uganda Orphanage in Mityana, and I’m raising funds to purchase land for our orphanage to start a coffee farm. This will, God willing, create a steady source of income for the orphanage, in order to provide basic necessities for our kids and help us continue to save money towards our long-term goal of building a house to give them a warm, safe place to sleep.
These children have almost nothing and they’re not asking for anything. They won’t ask, so I’m asking on their behalf.
They receive clothes through generous donations from people they don’t even know.
They receive food by God’s grace and from money raised through various intiatives we have undertaken in order to create income to provide for their basic needs.
But that’s not enough.
They need to not have to worry about what will happen when their shoes get old and start to fall apart.
They need an education.
They need hot food and cool drinks.
They need to know that even though they don’t have parents, they have a home that will not be taken away from them.
They need someone to care.
They need you to care!
Cost breakdown:
It will cost 25 million Ugandan Shillings (roughly $7,000) to purchase the land.
We will need to purchase coffee beans sometime after but we will plan that out once we have the land.
Once we are able to purchase the land, we can start with other less expensive cash crops like tomatoes in order to work our way up to buying the coffee bean plants.
