The Compass Center for Applied Behavior Analysis and Related Services was started to provide gold standard specialized assessment and treatment services for those affected with severe challenging behavior.
At the Compass Center, we are guided by the four Cs of our compass.
• Clinical
• Compassionate
• Conceptual
• Comprehensive
With the four Cs as our guiding compass, our mission is to help improve the quality of life for as many people as possible with the science of human behavior. With a compassionate lens, we approach each case with sensitivity and discretion. Through our assessment process we seek to understand why the person engages in the specific challenging behavior. Following the assessment, an individualized program is developed to increase skills and replace the challenging behavior with an alternative replacement that is easier to exhibit, is socially acceptable, and produces the same or similar outcomes. Reduction in severe challenging behavior through skill-focused treatment allows a person to learn a new skill and contact social experiences that were once previously inhibited by the challenging behavior.
We believe that everyone deserves to live a life free of challenging behavior.
Access to these types of specialized services can be quite costly and not always covered through insurance.
It is our hope that through our pay it forward campaign that those who need the help, will get the help, and their quality of life will be forever changed for the better.
Funding should not be the barrier between providing and receiving help.
Just because someone can't afford quality does not mean they don't deserve it. Help us provide as many families affected by severe challenging behavior by breaking down that barrier and providing them with access to the gold standard, evidenced-based, assessment and treatment services rooted in the principles of applied behavior analysis. Together, we can make a socially significant impact and improve the quality of their life!
Contribute today to be a catalyst for change! Help us transform lives by reducing and replacing severe challenging behaviors, and rebuild the quality of life for those who matter!
Your contribution will be directly applied to covering the cost of resources needed to conduct these comprehensive specialized assessment and treatment sessions. For every $5000 raised, one family will receive up to 20 hours of services provided by a team of clinicians lead by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Services include:
* Up to 12 hours of Functional Analysis assessment and treatment sessions including the development of individualized behavior support plan
* 5 hours of post assessment direct treatment
* 3 hours of parent/caregiver training
Keep paying it forward: Reduce, Replace, Rebuild, Repeat!
