We are raising funds to purchase a property that will provide a safe, affordable home for refugee individuals and families who have fled war, persecution or oppressive regimes and are resettled in Edinburgh through the community-led charity Edinburgh Refugee Sponsorship Circle. The property will be owned and managed by the independent charity Community Sponsorship Homes and let at an affordable rent, creating additional long-term housing without placing further pressure on the city's already overstretched council housing.

A secure, permanent home provides far more than accommodation. It gives people who have been forced to flee their homes the stability they need to recover from trauma, rebuild their lives, and become active members of their new community. At a time when refugees too often face hostility and uncertainty, we believe local communities can offer a practical, compassionate and lasting response.

This is about much more than purchasing a single property. It is the first step towards building a sustainable portfolio of affordable homes that will enable Edinburgh Refugee Sponsorship Circle, working in partnership with Community Sponsorship Homes, to welcome and support more refugees resettled from conflict and persecution for many years to come.
