Students from Community Academy, an alternative high school serving inner-city youth, have been given an extraordinary opportunity: an invitation to participate in the Model United Nations Conference in Washington, D.C. This prestigious, four-day event brings together student leaders from across the country to debate global issues, practice diplomacy, and build the skills that shape future thinkers and change makers.

For our students, this is more than an academic trip.

It is a chance to step outside the limits that circumstance often places on them, to see themselves on a national stage, and to know—deeply—that their perspectives matter. Many of our students have faced challenges that make opportunities like this feel out of reach. Yet they have worked hard, shown tremendous resilience, and earned their place at this conference.

We are committed to making this experience possible for 4 outstanding students. However, the cost—close to $1,000 per student for airfare and hotel accommodations—is more than our families can afford.
