I haven't had any luck through my own resources, so I'm reaching out and hoping for the power of social media.

I'm desperately looking for grants, organizations, or any resources that may help us obtain a wheelchair-accessible van for my son, Colton. As he's getting bigger, his wheelchairs are getting bigger and heavier too. Every trip requires me to carry him to the car, then take apart and load his wheelchair. It's physically exhausting and becoming harder each day.

Colton loves getting out, going places, and experiencing life, but transportation has become one of our biggest challenges. A wheelchair-accessible van would give him so much more freedom and allow us to safely travel without the constant struggle of lifting and transferring him.

If anyone knows of grants, nonprofit organizations, churches, fundraisers, or resources that help families obtain wheelchair-accessible vehicles, please reach out or share this post. Even a lead in the right direction would mean so much to our family.
