As many of you know, on New Year’s Eve our 27-year-old brother, Colton, was rushed to the emergency room with severe chest pain. He was diagnosed with a life-threatening aortic dissection and aneurysm and required immediate open-heart surgery to replace his aorta and to put in a mechanical aortic valve . Thanks to the quick actions of his good friend and the incredible medical teams involved, Colton’s life was saved.
While Colton does have a health insurance plan the deductible is extremely high as well his RX copays, with some medications being extremely expensive. He has applied for MN medical leave, which should cover a portion of his wages, not all, but hasn't been approved or received anything yet. He is staying at our parents home while recovering and they are trying to help in any way they can.
For Colton, this financial burden is significant. He has recovery ahead of him, and we are hoping with some help, Colton can concentrate on healing and his rehab, and not on worrying about his current medical bills.
All funds raised will be used solely for Colton’s medical bills and recovery-related expenses. Any support—whether through a donation or prayers—is deeply appreciated as he continues to heal.
