Hi, my name is Colton and I am 24 years old. I was diagnosed with leukemia in 2020. The past 5 years have been a rollercoaster for my family and i. I had have many surgery’s including spinal taps, bone marrow transplant and also CAR-T cell therapy. with the CAR-T cell therapy it did work although shortly after i did relapse.

One week ago, my mom and I traveled eight hours away from home for a surgery so I could have a port, but unfortunately, once in surgery, I aspirated. after i was on 100% oxygen due to my O2 levels being so low. shortly after i was placed on a vent and the family was called in. I was on 2 ECMO machines to take the work off of my heart and lungs so my body does not have to work as hard and to receive oxygen to my arms and brain. i have had small improvements for the past 3 and one ECMO was removed today leaving only 1 ECMO machine!
