Hello, my name is Lauren. I’m starting this GoFundMe to try and help raise money for my cousin Chelsea and her son Colter.

On Sunday, December 14, their life changed in the worst way possible. Chelsea woke up that morning to go get breakfast. She left her son Colter with her boyfriend, who she trusted and promised her and Colter the world. Chelsea returned home to find her son unconscious on the couch and rushed him straight to the ER. She was told by her boyfriend at the time that they were playing on the bed and he fell off and hit his head.

We soon learned later that wasn’t the case at all. Colter had been beaten so badly that it caused a head fracture with bleeding and permanent nerve damage to his brain. Colter also suffered twelve fractures in his back and one in his neck. This has left them scarred for life Colter has a long recovery and can’t return to daycare, and Chelsea can’t return to work.

We have created this GoFundMe to assist with treatment, therapy, and recovery journey.
