We are ColorStack at the University of Florida, a student organization with the goal of increasing the number of Black and Latinx Computer Science graduates that go on to start rewarding technical careers. Founded in 2023, we have been building a community of dedicated students, who are motivated to break into the technical landscape through our workshops, company talks and project development. We are also a chapter of the larger ColorStack National organization, which has been hosting an annual summer summit for a select number of ColorStack members across the United States. This upcoming August, ColorStack National will be hosting their third annual ColorStack Stacked Up Summit in San Francisco, California and our chapter is attempting to raise funds in order to support the attendance of many of our members, with the cost per member averaging at around $1300.
