Hi friends, family, and anyone else reading this;

If you know me personally, you know that my cat, Colonel Mustard, has been my shadow since we got him and his sister as kittens almost 12 years ago. Earlier this year, Colonel Mustard got diagnosed as a diabetic, which can unfortunately be more common in male cats as they get older. Once on insulin, improvements became imminent for him, which was great!

Unfortunately, just after midnight on Nov 12th, I found him in the downstairs bathroom next to a pile of vomit and seemingly disoriented and not registering even my presence. One trip to the emergency vet later, it was suggested that he at least be hospitalized for a few hours before transferring to my actual vet to further treat a dip in his blood sugar, insulin dosage, etc. (I’m writing this at the e-vet, preparing to pull an all-nighter before this transfer).

With all of these unexpected expenses, I’m desperate and asking for help, having been in between jobs since July and dealing with blow after blow since then, having just landed 2 jobs this month after missing car payments and really, really struggling financially and mentally.

I need to give everything I can one more time before I have to say goodbye to my best friend forever, even if it means my credit cards yell at me.

A donation, a share, a well-wishes sent my way, anything would be of help. My boy has been with me across the country, through middle school, high school, and college and into the real world. He deserves one more shot after a hiccup. If not for me, for him.

He’s loved everyone he’s ever met, and is the most chill, sweet, tolerant, and lover-boy kind of cat I’ve ever met— and a trooper.
