**UPDATE from Collin's dad, Kevin:

Collin is doing a little better each day. He is still in a lot of pain. He is going to have part 1 of his pelvic surgery tomorrow 08/29/2024 and more surgeries next week. He is partially sitting up and does talk to me and squeeze my hand. He's asked me for pizza and soda today and I'm hoping to be sitting somewhere having that pizza and soda with him soon. I'll keep everyone updated.

On Saturday, August 24th, my nephew Collin Staats was in a horrific accident, breaking several bones including his back, sternum, ribs, pelvis & he also had to have one kidney removed. He's already had multiple surgeries & he's expected to have at least two more. Collin has a long road of healing, recovery & physical therapy ahead of him. He was working with the family business with his dad (bonus) mom & younger brother. Collin probably won't be able to work for a year, maybe more depending on how his recovery & PT go. His dad (Kevin) & (bonus) mom (Annisa) will have to take time off from the family business to be with Collin during his recovery, Kevin & family are not only hard workers, but they're also people who would give a stranger the shirt off of their back. I'm asking all of our family & friends chip in to help them during this very hard time. The original goal of $30,000 is just a starting point & will most likely change as time goes on.
