I write this with a heavy heart. We received the most devastating news: Collin’s dad (my father-in-law) had a stroke and is now on life support. We have been told he’s not going to pull through. We’ve arranged a one-way flight to California, but we’re uncertain about how long we’ll be there, the daily expenses we’ll incur, the cost of flights back home, and any other necessary arrangements. Asking for help is something I struggle with, and so does Collin. Collin needs to be there to bid farewell to his dad and be present with his brother and his dad’s partner, Nancy. Any assistance we receive would be greatly appreciated.
