I am fundraising to help with college expenses. I had to take academic leave to have a tumor removed from my skull in February 2025. The mass was found in September of 2024 and needed to be removed, which was scheduled for February. I have been diagnosed with a rare bone disease called Fibrous Dysplasia, and it causes bone-softening tumors, which can become cancerous. Thankfully, my tumor was not cancerous.
However, I unfortunately lost my full-ride scholarship for college, and I am trying to return to school this fall. I don't qualify for grants, and with the new student loan policy, I don't have enough for tuition this year.
I have been very active in the community through 4H and community theatre. I sang at a St. Jude's fundraiser the day after I was released post-surgery. As a member of the Greene County 4H Performing Arts Group, I helped raise thousands of dollars for individuals and nonprofit groups in the NEA area using my talents. This year, I just need a little assistance myself. Any help is appreciated.
