As most of you know, our sister Colleen/Jagrati suffered three major strokes in December of 2020, at the height of the Corona Virus surge. As a result, Colleen spent a month in the hospital and another month in intensive rehabilitation.
Because of the strokes Colleen is living with compromised faculties including visual impairment, minimal use of her left hand, and a traumatic brain injury which results in short term memory loss. Colleen has made great strides in her recovery but unfortunately still doesn't have the ability to do everyday tasks such as navigate her computer or phone or drive.
Most importantly though, Colleen is unable to paint. Not only does this sadden her tremendously but it cuts off an income stream she had previously had. Colleen's medical bills are covered through her and Stephen's insurance however Home Health Care and additional
physical, vision and occupational therapy is not.
Currently Colleen still needs intense physical and vision therapy daily. She also needs someone to be with her 4-5 hours a day to help drive her to doctor and physical therapy appointments, general housework, dispense medications and assist with email communications, etc...
Whatever you can do, whether it be a monetary donation, support, prayers or good vibes, Colleen and Stephen will be deeply appreciative.
