My friend Colleen Maes is a wonderful, God-loving daughter, mother, and wife. Her family has gone through a lot in the last few years dealing with major medical issues. Colleen has been there for her family, and she now needs our help.

In March of 2025, a tumor was found in Colleen’s brain. Thank God, testing came back negative for cancer, BUT the meningioma tumor still must be removed to allow her quality of life to be preserved. Unfortunately, Colleen and her recently retired husband have NO HEALTH INSURANCE due to the cost. They did join Medishare, which is a cost-sharing company, but unfortunately, the University of Utah Hospital, where she has been referred for surgery, will not work with Medishare. Because of this, her surgery, which was scheduled for mid-April 2025, had to be canceled because the hospital is requiring $38,000 upfront to do the surgery.

Colleen is praying for a miracle, and it is hoped that the funds can be raised to allow her to reschedule this much-needed surgery. She has been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from her family and friends. I hope we can show her with this fundraiser just how important she is to all of us. God bless.
