Support Colleen and Mike After Losing Their Home
Donation protected
Thank you for the many messages, emails and texts looking out for Colleen, Mike, Arielle, Julian and our family. We are grateful to be safe and together and to have so many incredible people in our lives.
As many of you have heard, Colleen, Mike, Arielle and Julian lost everything when the Eaton Fire swept through their community on Tuesday night. Once they got word of the mandatory evacuation, they left quickly with their pets to get to safer ground. Their beloved home and all their belongings are gone.
Colleen, Mike, Arielle and Julian have been thriving members of their community for years. Julian (13) is in 7th grade at Aveson where he plays flag football, and video games and piano in his spare time. Arielle (15) went to Octavia Butler Middle School, where she was an honor student, athlete and artist, and just started her freshman year at the conservatory at California School for the Arts. After many years of launching start-ups, Colleen is in the seed stage of her next venture. She volunteers at school, became an expert baker and bread maker in recent years, and constantly opened their home to friends, neighbors and teammates. Mike runs his own smart home technology business that operated out of their home, and spends his free time hiking the local trails, playing music and making the best pizza around. Mike stood by his neighbors to fight the fire and save homes.
They have been overwhelmed and so grateful for the outpouring of love and support and offers to do something to help. It will take years to rebuild their home and their community, so we wanted to set this up on their behalf should anyone like to help. The funds raised will go directly toward their immediate needs, like temporary housing, clothing and other essentials. Any size donation, large or small, will have impact and is deeply appreciated.
Our hearts go out to all the people whose lives have been impacted by the fires.
