Support Colin’s Recovery After ATV Accident

Donation protected
Colin is a dedicated 22-year-old arborist who has always taken pride in his work and independence. Over Memorial Day weekend, he suffered a serious ATV accident while riding on a state trail. Hidden beneath a pile of leaves was a large stump, which caused his ATV to flip and threw him off. The accident left Colin with a broken upper femur and a dislocated hip, requiring emergency surgery to insert a plate and screws. He spent three days in the hospital and, upon returning home, faced a long and painful recovery. For weeks, he couldn’t sleep in his bed and had to rest in a chair due to the pain. His doctor has told him he cannot put any weight on his leg for several months, and if he does, he risks another surgery.

Colin’s injury has made it impossible for him to work or drive, which has been devastating for someone who has been employed since he was 15 and never missed a day on the job. He is struggling to keep up with his truck payments and mounting medical bills that insurance won’t cover. As his parent, I’ve done everything I can to help, but it’s become overwhelming to manage both his expenses and my own. Colin is not used to asking for help—he’s always the first to offer a hand to others, whether at work or at home. Now, he’s facing depression and uncertainty about the future, simply wanting to heal and get back to the life he loves.

We’re reaching out to the community for support because Colin has no other family to turn to. Any help will go directly toward his medical bills, truck payments, and the care he needs during recovery. Your support will make a real difference in helping Colin regain his independence and hope.
