Colin Ledbetter is a dear friend, coworker, husband, and decorated police officer. Many know the story of January 2022, where Colin was tragically shot in the line of duty apprehending a suspect who was wanted for murder. Colin literally laid down his life for his friends. But by the grace of God and miracle work by the doctors at Barnes Hospital, he was given a second chance at life.

For 4 years, he has struggled with medical issues related to this critical injury. Tragically, on Monday, February 16th, Colin had another medical emergency stemming from the shooting in 2022. He has suffered a critical blood clot in his left leg, leaving the medical staff with the only option to amputate his left leg above the knee. This is yet another life-altering injury stemming from the sacrifices he has made for his brothers in the line of duty and the citizens he joyfully served.
