Support Colin and Amber's Recovery Journey

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I am reaching out for your support on behalf of my cousin Colin and his girlfriend Amber, who have endured a life-changing accident. On August 4th, Colin took Amber on a late-night ride on his motorcycle when an SUV failed to yield the right of way, causing them to crash. Colin and Amber were both airlifted with severe injuries.

Colin took the brunt of the impact, leaving him with multiple lacerations, a broken pelvis, broken femur, hand injuries to be determined after X-rays, and worst of all, the lower part of his left leg had to be amputated. He has already undergone multiple surgeries and more are to come. This is just the beginning of a long and challenging journey of learning how to adjust and walk again.

Amber sustained multiple injuries as well, including fractures in her hand, back, ribs as well as a broken leg which she had to have surgery on today. She will spend a few more days in the hospital and hopefully head home later this week to recover.

Colin is an active member on our family farm, loves hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. And if you know him, you’ll know he can’t sit still, and is constantly finding stuff to work on or do. So this is going to be a very long, slow journey for him to overcome.

All donations will go towards Colin and Amber, the countless trips to and from the hospital, as well as the adjustments necessary for when they get back home.
