Support Coley & Lex: Recovery Fund for Farnborough FC U15s

Donation protected
On Friday night, our BoroFamily received the devastating news that two of our own, Nicole (Coley) and Lexi, were involved in a serious road traffic collision. Both girls are currently in a London hospital fighting through a series of critical injuries.

We are absolutely heartbroken. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest support go out to both girls and their families during this incredibly difficult time.

The Long Road to Recovery

From a football perspective, the injuries are catastrophic. Between them, the girls are facing:

• Multiple Fractures: Broken femur, fibula, tibia, ribs, and shoulder.

• Complex Trauma: Fractured jaw, fingers, and thumbs.

• Neurological Care: One of our girls is also battling a severe head injury.

Both girls have already undergone emergency surgery, with many more procedures scheduled for the coming weeks and months. While we are eternally grateful for the frontline care of the NHS, the reality is that returning to a normal quality of life - and hopefully to the pitch - will require specialist treatment beyond standard care.

How Your Donations Will Help

The road to recovery will be an exhausting and expensive process. This fund is being established to provide:

• Specialist Physiotherapy: Intensive, sports-specific rehab to help them walk and play again.

• Specialist Equipment: Mobility aids and home adjustments required for their return from the hospital.

• Family Support: Assisting the families with travel and accommodation costs while the girls remain in London.

We have set an initial target of £3000 to help with immediate needs. However, the reality is that the long-term cost for the specialist physiotherapy and equipment required to get the girls back to health could easily exceed £10,000. We are starting relatively small, but every penny beyond our target will go directly toward ensuring Lex and Coley have the best possible rehabilitation journey.

I want to make it absolutely clear: this request for help comes directly from the girls’ grassroots football team and teammates. The girls' families have not asked for any support, but as their football family, we felt we had to act.

The photo above shows Lexi and Coley as U14 Division 3 champions. Although the team has just secured the Division 2 league title at U15s, we are holding off on all celebrations. We have made the collective decision that we cannot and will not celebrate the girls success until Coley and Lex are back with us to share it. A league title win means nothing to us without every single girl who played their part being there.

Cruelly, the girls will miss out on the Cup Final they’ve worked so hard to reach in two weeks' time. While they should be on the pitch leading the team, whether it's realistic or not, our only wish now is for them to be well enough to be out of the hospital and cheering the remaining girls on from the sidelines at the final. We will be playing for them.

We are calling on the wider Football Family and our local community. If you can spare anything at all to give these brilliant young ladies the best possible opportunity to recover, everyone at Farnborough FC U15 Girls would be forever grateful.

Please share, donate if you can, and help us bring our champions home and back where they belong - on a grass pitch in a yellow shirt.
