Hi everyone,

My name is Amanda, and I’m raising funds to help my 12-year-old son Cole attend Camp Sweeney — a very special camp for kids living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Cole was diagnosed when he was 8 years old, and since then he’s handled every day with courage and determination. Managing diabetes isn’t easy — it means finger pricks, insulin, constant carb counting, and a lot of responsibility for someone so young. But through it all, Cole has stayed positive and hopeful.

Camp Sweeney is more than just a summer camp. It’s a place where kids like Cole get to be surrounded by others who truly understand what life with diabetes is like. For one amazing week, he’ll be able to:

Learn independence in managing his diabetes safely

Make friends who face the same daily challenges

⚽ Enjoy all the fun of camp — swimming, sports, crafts, and laughter — without feeling “different”

This experience will help build his confidence, health skills, and lifelong friendships — something no classroom or doctor visit can give him.
