Our names are Derrace McCallun, Velma McCallum, Danielle Clayton, Schnelle Johnson and we are from Cold Spring, Hanover in the western part of Jamaica. On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica and completely devastated the western side of the island, including our home community.

We are organizing this fundraiser to help rebuild Cold Spring — to support our immediate family, friends, and neighbors who have lost everything.

The Situation in Cold Spring

Our community has been severely affected. Many homes have been completely destroyed — roofs are gone, walls collapsed, and personal belongings washed away. Families are left homeless with nothing to return to.

Those who depended on farming and livestock have lost all their animals. Small business owners saw their shops, stalls, and goods destroyed by the storm. Many are left without food, clean water, or a place to sleep.

We are in desperate need of basic supplies — food, water, clothing, and materials to rebuild.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Every donation will go toward helping families in Cold Spring begin again. Funds will be used for:

• Emergency food and water supplies

• Roofing materials and rebuilding homes

• Assistance to small farmers and shop owners

• Clothing and basic essentials

• Community recovery efforts
