On Saturday, February 21, 2026, Colby, a dedicated member of the Starkville Police Department, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident while escorting a funeral detail. The accident left him with critical injuries, and he was airlifted to UMMC in Jackson, where he has been receiving intensive care ever since. Colby is now preparing to continue his recovery at one of the best facilities in the United States for traumatic brain injuries. While we are incredibly grateful that he is receiving such high-quality treatment, this next phase of his journey will require our family to travel extensively as we support him through his rehabilitation.

The donations we receive will go directly toward covering the costs of travel, food, and any other needs that arise as we help Colby on his road to recovery. Every bit of support will help ease the burden on our family and allow us to focus on being there for Colby during this challenging time.
