A Dad of 4 Is Fighting for His Life — Help Colby Survive Kidney & Heart Failure

“Daddy… did the doctor find out what’s wrong?” That’s what Colby’s six-year-old son asked him over the phone while Colby lay in the C.C.U. Just days before, the ER doctors had told us, “It doesn’t look good.....”

No wife or parent is ever ready for that moment.
No child should have to ask that question.

By the grace of God, Colby is still here.
But now, he is facing the fight of his life.

A Devastating Diagnosis
Colby has been diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure and congestive heart failure.
His body has taken a severe toll. He now faces lifelong treatment, and before he can even be considered for a transplant, he must wait several months.

Every day is uncertain. Every day is a battle.

❤️ More Than a Diagnosis
Colby is not just a patient. He is a dedicated husband to Megan, his wife of 16 years. A loving father of four beautiful children, 14, 13, 11, and 6 years old. The steady, quiet strength of his home.

He’s the dad who always held the babies, wrapping them in arms that made everything feel safe. The one his kids run to. The one who made sure they knew—without question—they were deeply loved.

He’s also the guy everyone calls when something breaks. As a contractor, Colby has spent his life fixing and remodeling homes, solving problems, and showing up when people needed help. He’s always been the one who makes things work.

⚠️ Now Everything Has Changed

Today, Colby can’t work as he awaits his kidney transplant. The man who has always provided is now fighting just to survive. And his wife, Megan—a devoted elementary school teacher—is now carrying the full weight of providing for their family of six, while also standing beside her husband through this unimaginable battle as nurse and caregiver.

We Are Believing for a Miracle

We are standing in faith, believing that God can do what feels impossible. We believe He will move through people—family, friends, and even strangers—to provide exactly what this family needs. Their need is for the next 12 months! Six (6) months to the transplant, (we pray) and six (6) months to heal—to regain a normal life again!!

Our goal is to cover this family for one (1) year. Our goal is $300,000 to:

  • Cover medical expenses now and throughout the transplant
  • Ongoing treatments
  • Relieve financial pressure of their mortgage and monthly bills so Megan's salary can cover groceries and other family expenses.
  • Provide stability for their children
  • Give Colby 12 months to focus on healing—not survival

What the Doctors Said

While Colby was in the hospital, his doctor made this statement that pierced my heart! He said, "There are two (2) things that his life will depend on to make it to his transplant. The first thing he said, will be his spirits and the second will be FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

We can’t control everything happening in his body…but we can come together to lift the financial burden.
