Support Colby Reese's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Holly Jackson, and I am Colby Reese's sister-in-law and Ashley's little sister. On the night of 4th of July, Colby was involved in a very serious ATV accident in his neighborhood along with some friends where he was ejected from the passenger side. Ashley rushed Colby to the Texas Health Harris Hospital in downtown Fort Worth where she works. We quickly learned that Colby had a subarachnoid brain bleed, sternum fracture, nasal fractures, a broken tailbone, various lacerations on his face, and most seriously a T12 fracture that had the potential to paralyze the lower half of his body. He was admitted to critical care ICU and was able to undergo a very successful emergency back surgery within almost 12 hours of the accident, where they fused his T11-L1 with rods and screws.
All of that to say, I have started this GoFundMe to not only assist with hospital bills, but I am praying that this financial blessing will help cover the costs of medical supplies and equipment he will need when they transition home like walkers, back braces, steps, shower chairs, etc. This financial blessing will also help cover the costs of Colby being out of work. He works full time as a construction superintendent with Fort Construction and also runs a successful power washing business on the side that their family financially depends on, Reecon Pressure Washing. He will not be able to run this business for a while during his recovery. Ashley works part time as a nurse 2-3 days a week and she will also be out of work to help be Colby's caretaker. My biggest prayer is that these funds will take a small amount of stress away so they can focus on Colby's healing and long road to recovery.
We know that Ashley and Colby are incredibly blessed by a huge community of friends and family. The number one ask is for prayers. Specifically---prayers for Colby's pain to get under control. IF you are led to also give financially, I know they would both be eternally grateful. They are never one's to ask for help, so I am asking on their behalf!
