There are some moments in life that completely stop you in your tracks… this is one of them.

Cohen Rappleyea as most of you know just 15 years old—an avid baseball player who feels most at home on the field, and a kid who loves anything that gets him outdoors. He’s the kind of boy who brings energy, heart, and determination into everything he does. To know him is to love him—and to our family, he’s become so much more than a friend’s son… he’s one of our own.

On Thursday, April 23rd, Cohen was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. After further testing, his family received the devastating diagnosis: leukemia.

The road ahead will be long and incredibly challenging, filled with treatments and multiple hospital stays. Through it all, his parents will be right there beside him—walking every step of this journey, even as it means time away from work and the weight of unexpected financial strain.
