Support Cody’s Recovery Journey

On the night of April 6th, Cody was very badly burned when a gas can blew up on him.

He was rushed to the ER at Tidelands Hospital, then was transferred to MUSC Burn Unit.

About 50% of his body got burned with mostly 2nd-degree but some 3rd-degree burns. He went through 2.5 hours of cleaning and debridement, then was bandaged up. He had to be intubated and sedated due to pain. He will need skin grafts and lots of physical therapy, which will ultimately determine his recovery time.

Cody will be in the hospital for a while and has a long recovery ahead, but with everyone's help, we hope to alleviate the stress of any bills or other expenses he may have.

As most of you know, Cody just had to bury his dad the day before this accident, so he and his family have really taken a big hit.
