While on a Mother’s Day hike with his family, Cody Neidert was bitten by a rattlesnake. He was airlifted to MCR where he received amazing care. After 3 days in the ICU, he is now home and resting but it will be a long recovery. Moving independently is the biggest struggle right now.
Cody and his wife Allison own Missy Kay’s Sweet Shoppe together. They do it all, from baking, stocking, ordering, book keeping, you name it. As well as staffing the store most of the time. Therefore, while Cody recovers they are not as able to staff their store as consistently as normal since Allison is also taking care of their 2 young kids and their other business, Inta Juice in Windsor, CO.
We have set this page up to help them till they can get back in the store for normal business hours. The time away from their small business is money out of their pockets and anything from their loving community would be helpful- a share about the store, ordering cookies when they are available or a store visit to check them out.
Not only are the couple worried about the business, which Cody hopes to return to asap, but the medical bills that will soon pour in. Antivenom and the helicopter ride to the hospital will not be easy to pay off so anything is helpful to get them back on their feet.
Lastly, they want to thank the incredible medical team that has helped Cody with his recovery and the wonderful strangers who treated him with care while on the hiking trail. They are so grateful for this community and the overwhelming support they have already received! And a big thank you to the Missy Kay's and Inta Juice Windsor's staff, who have stepped up already.
Here is the news coverage of his story:
Sincerely,
Jackie and Heather
