Hi! My name is Cody Gangl. The universe has aligned and it's time for me to get top surgery while I have an incredible support team as well as a great health care team in my life. The surgery date is May 7th, 2026 and I’ll be missing a significant amount of work from my part time jobs, the Matchbox and First Avenue.

I live alone in uptown and I will not be able to care for myself or lift anything larger than 10 lbs. I’m going to rely on my loved ones to bring me groceries, food, and provide transportation during this time.

The money raised from this crowd sourcing will help me stay afloat and give me peace during my recovery. For transparency, I will miss about $1000 in tips and I need help paying my monthly car payment ($500)and some of my rent($1045). The rest will go towards gas money for those running around for me and unexpected expenses.

Finally, I’m feeling really excited and fortunate to be able to receive this gender affirming care. I know it’s going to help me become the person I’ve always longed to be and I really thank you from the bottom of my heart just for your consideration. Any extra funds that aren’t needed for my recovery will be allocated to TC trans mutual aid.
