Cody Caldwell, my partner, was in a serious motorcycle accident on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He suffered multiple injuries, breaking or crushing eight bones, including his right foot, right elbow, and left forearm and wrist. As a result, Cody will be out of work for an extended period. This comes at a particularly difficult time, as we have just bought a house and are working hard to provide for our children.
To make things even more challenging, Cody only signed up for long term disability through work, which doesn’t begin until he’s been off work for 12 weeks. This means we are facing a long stretch without any income from his job, right when we need it most.
The financial impact of Cody’s accident is overwhelming. We are facing mounting medical bills, the ongoing cost of household expenses, and the challenge of keeping up with our house payment and groceries. In addition to medical care, Cody will need supplies and support to aid his recovery and help our family adjust during this difficult time.
We are reaching out to our community for help. Anything you can give will make a difference for our family as Cody heals and we work to get back on our feet. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing our story, means the world to us. Thank you for being there for us in our time of need.
