As 2026 began, this family of three was filled with excitement and hope for the future. With a recent engagement to celebrate, Kayla and Cody were looking ahead to a beautiful new chapter together.

Tragically, life took an unexpected turn on Valentine’s Day. Cody was admitted to the hospital with concerns that quickly became every family’s worst nightmare. After a long and emotional weekend of tests and procedures, they received the devastating diagnosis: Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to the lining of his abdomen. They are now waiting to hear from doctors about the treatment plan and what the road ahead will look like.

In the meantime, Cody is unable to work as they begin to navigate this overwhelming new reality. We are reaching out to our community to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will help offset the loss of income and allow Cody, Kayla and Seth to focus fully on what matters most right now, Cody’s health and their time together as a family.

Cody and Kayla are true pillars of the community, to know them is to know that they are forever willing to go out of their way to help anyone who needs it.
