Help My Son Cody Fight an Autoimmune/Neurological Disease

Hi, my name is Michelle Morehouse, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart — something I never imagined myself doing, but I’m here because my son Cody desperately needs help.

Cody has been in and out of the hospital since January and admitted in the hospital for a total of 25 days and counting, battling an autoimmune/neurological disease that is attacking his central nervous system.

He went from being a strong, active, hardworking young man full of life, to fighting for that very life in a hospital bed. Watching my child in pain, struggling with something we can’t see or fully understand, has been the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through as a mother.

This has been a rollercoaster of fear, tears, and sleepless nights. There are moments when I feel helpless, but I know that by the healing power of Jesus he will be healed.

Cody is facing housing costs and living expenses that have piled up because he has been unable to work, due to the loss of his motor skills caused by the infection.

We’re trying to raise at least $12,000 to help cover these housing and living expenses. Every single donation, share, or kind word makes a difference. Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing Cody’s story, it means the world to us.

If you’re a parent, I know you can imagine the pain of watching your child suffer and not being able to take it away. This is me, as a mom, doing everything I can to fight for my son in the only way I know how right now — through prayer, as well as our faith in Jesus Christ, and asking for help.
