I created this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister, Hayley, and her husband, Cody. Over the weekend, their dog Sue (lovingly known as "Bubba Dog" or "Bubba" in our family), had to have emergency surgery to remove a blockage that was causing him to be incredibly ill and lethargic. While he was recovering from the surgery, the vet saw concerning behaviors and signs which lead to an additional surgery. While Hayley and Cody were aware of the costs of the first surgery, the second one was done without their knowledge or advisement of costs, so it has now landed them in double the financial hole. The original estimate of $10,000 was already going to be a difficult burden, but the additional $7,000+ has create even more stress and financial hardship.

Additionally, Sue is not home yet. He is still in critical condition and has a lot of recovery to get through. There will likely be more costs, and they keep adding up every night he is there. We need Bubba dog home soon, and this GoFundMe can help Cody and Hayley focus solely on caring for him the best way possible rather than worry about costs.

This past year, their family was forced to give up their family business. They already have to juggle the schedule of both of their full-time jobs, while also caring for our father who is hospitalized, and taking care of their family. All that to say, it's been an incredibly hard time for their family. They still remain the best parents to their girls through this all, and we just want to relieve some of the incredible stress the beginning of 2026 has brought on them.
