Many of you know my sweet dog Coco. I’ve had her for six years and got her as a rescue dog back home in California. Since then she’s moved with me to Oregon where we live now. She has always been happy and healthy and absolutely the light of my life.
In September, I took Coco to the emergency vet for rapid breathing and there she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Since then we’ve been to 5 vet appointments and learned about her specific heart condition which affects the mitral valve. Coco is now on 3 medications twice daily. Without further intervention, Coco will die in 6-12 months and will experience recurrent failure, difficulty breathing even at rest, and a steep decline in her quality of life. However, we learned about a new surgery called TEER that Coco is eligible for and I have decided to pursue it. As you can imagine, this surgery is incredibly expensive and will cost tens of thousands of dollars. I am already thousands into vet bills and will need some help paying for this procedure. If successful, this surgery should completely correct the issue with her valve and let her live a normal life.
Please donate whatever you can or share this fundraiser to help me save my baby.
