Support Coco's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
If you know me and my family then you have likely seen, heard, or have met our little Coco. Coco joined our family as a rescue right around Christmas on 2019. Since then he has filled our days with fun and beautiful chaos.
Coco has been pretty healthy for the 5 years he has been with us, he is only 6 years old. Unfortunately, this weekend we noticed a sharp and sudden decline in his health and had to seek out emergency veterinarian help.
Coco has been currently diagnosed and hospitalized for IMHA or Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. This is a severe life threatening condition where his immune system is mistakenly attacking and destroying its own red blood cells, leading to anemia (his red blood cell count was about 10%). The mortality rate for this condition is unfortunately high, but there is a treatment option available. We decided to seek the treatment which will involve a combination of blood transfusions, medication, and supportive care.
We ask for any aid that you are able to give to help relieve some of the stress of this situation. As a recent college graduate I am not in the best of financial situations to carry the burden of this procedure and (hopefully) the recovery, but Coco is family and all possibilities must be exhausted for family. Thank you in advance for any prayers or donations you can send our little Coco's way!
