Cocoon is a circular, fabric-based installation that breathes with the desert wind—soft panels hanging from a central ring, rising and fluttering like wings. It’s a living, open structure that shifts with the elements, offering a moment of stillness, reflection, and transformation in the heart of the playa. Inside, a wooden platform holds hammocks and low seating—a space to rest, gather, or simply be.

Created by a collaborative team from Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, with backgrounds in art, photography, and architecture, Cocoon is a shared vision of lightness, fluidity, and sanctuary. It’s a place where structure meets softness, and where we can feel held, even in the open.
