Thank you to everyone who’s donated. Coconut passed away around 1030 Christmas morning. He had fluid in his lungs making it very hard for him to breathe. Pancreatitis progressed quickly and caused a lot of complications. He was buried next to Scooter. We still have a few thousands dollars in veterinary bills to pay, so please do not feel any donations went to waste. Thank you everyone for your love and support.

Hello everyone!

My cat Coconut has been hospitalized since 12/23/25 at UF Vet Clinic. He was originally admitted for a foreign body in the intestines, but he’s now facing pancreatitis, pulmonary edema, and heart failure. He’s currently in the ICU in their oxygen chamber. He likely needs an echocardiogram to determine the cause of the heart failure and better figure out what’s going on with him. Coconut is a 3-year-old Flamepoint Siamese. I got him after my 17.5-year-old passed away. Coconut and his biological brother, Finn, are extremely close. They are a bonded pair. We have put close to $5,000 into his medical expenses already. This paid for his initial visit at Suburban Animal Hospital (exam and x-rays) and everything at UF ER/ICU. He’s had multiple ultrasounds which luckily caught the fluid in his abdomen and chest. He received IV fluids, pain medications, Lasix, etc., so far while he’s been there. He’s gotten two EKGs. We are hoping to find the cause of his issues and come up with a plan for him to come home with medical management if needed. Please consider donating to Coconut. Coconut’s mom and dad (Karen and Jaymes) have their own surgeries needed in the new year, and the medical expenses have been a hardship. Thank you for supporting Coconut and family.
