Coach Whitfield is a dear friend and one of the football coaches in Bartlesville who has given so much of himself to the kids and families in this community. On Saturday, August 29, Coach Whitfield suffered a very serious medical emergency. He was transported to the hospital, where he was intubated and sedated, and was later transferred to Tulsa in case surgery was needed. This has been a frightening and overwhelming time for everyone who knows and cares about him. Coach Whitfield is also a father and a partner to Cenia, and this crisis has placed an enormous emotional strain on their family.

As Coach Whitfield focuses on getting through this medical crisis and the recovery ahead, this fundraiser is here to help support his and Cenia’s well-being and recovery and help ease some of the stress during this difficult time. Coach Whitfield has been deeply dedicated to coaching and supporting kids, and now he needs his community around him. An update as of this morning August 30, from Cenia is that he is still on a ventilator but starting to breathe more on his own and in hopes that the vent can be removed later today.
