Support Coach Pooch's Portable Hitting Tunnel

Hello everyone,

Im Coach Pooch. A baseball coach here in Northern Nevada, and I need your help.

I have a goal and vision to help out the baseball/softball community at large here in Northern Nevada. Its starts with acquiring the funds for a portable hitting tunnel that I could take to the rural areas around reno ( Carson,Dayton, Fernley, North valleys, Sparks,Yarington ) to do clinics and private lessons for both coaches and players alike. Traveling into town is both time consuming and costly. I believe I can remedy that,by being able to come to you. Our son, Cole, began working one-on-one with Coach Pooch when he was eight years old, playing on the 9U team with the Gladiators baseball club. For the past two years, Coach Pooch has been instrumental in Cole's development across all aspects of baseball. From pitching mechanics to hitting techniques and building a strong foundation in the game, Coach Pooch's guidance has been invaluable.

Similarly, our younger son, Cooper, started individual sessions with Coach Pooch at the age of seven. Even before he joined the 9U team with the Gladiators baseball club, Coach Pooch dedicated his time to helping Cooper with his pitching, hitting, and overall baseball skills.

What truly sets Coach Pooch apart is his unwavering commitment. He still works with our boys, consistently making himself available and flexible to accommodate everyone's schedules, which is incredibly helpful for busy families.

Beyond the technical skills, Coach Pooch excels at instilling confidence in his players, and he's especially good at helping them with the mental part of the game, teaching them resilience and focus. Both Cole and Cooper have gained immense self-assurance on the field thanks to Coach Pooch's patient and encouraging approach. He fosters a positive learning environment that empowers young players to believe in themselves and their abilities.

Coach Pooch is not just a coach; he's a mentor who genuinely cares about the growth and well-being of the children he works with. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and expertise he has shown our boys, and we wholeheartedly support his efforts to enhance training opportunities for young baseball players through additional equipment and resources.

It is hard to put into words how much Coach Pooch and his coaching ability have impacted my son. My son, Bronson, has grown exponentially as a hitter since starting lessons with him. As his mom and a former college softball player, I’ve struggled to connect with Bronson in a coaching relationship, which is why we turned to Coach Pooch.

Coach Pooch has not only helped Bronson improve his skills but he also takes the time to coach his mindset, building his confidence and approach both on and off the field. He constantly uses positive reinforcement, always encouraging and motivating his players. If you ever come to the field, listen for the loudest coach cheering on his players - that’s Coach Pooch. His coaching style, knowledge, and ability to truly connect with young athletes have made a huge impact on Bronson’s development. Other parents and players on his team have noticed how much stronger and more consistent his hitting has become since he started working with Coach Pooch.

We currently travel 45 minutes each way for lessons, on top of our regular travel for practices and games. If Coach Pooch had the opportunity to offer mobile hitting lessons, it would not only make training more accessible and consistent for families like ours, but it would also give other players who don’t have access to quality coaching the chance to grow and develop their skills. I truly believe expanding his reach would make a difference for so many young athletes.

Over the past year we have had the pleasure of working with Coach Pooch. His lessons have helped my son grow as a player. Coach Pooch’s high energy and knowledge of the game is contagious. My son has more confidence and an aggressive attitude at the plate. Coach Pooch’s lessons have been so beneficial.

The hitting tunnel would be a great asset to Coach Pooch. Often times facilities are closed or booked up. The hitting tunnel would create his own area for lessons in more convenient areas. This hitting tunnel would make any park a baseball facility. This one tunnel could be used for batting practice, fielding, mechanics, and pitching lessons. Coach Pooch would be able to travel around the city offering lesson lessons and helping children develop baseball skills in more convenient locations, any park can now be a baseball facility.
