For more than 20 years, Coach Plotnick has been a reliable, trustworthy and compassionate presence in our community. As a coach of the BCA Math Team, he shaped not only students’ academic paths, but their confidence, character, and belief in themselves. He has helped numerous students find a love of both math and life, and encouraged them, by demonstration, to become better and give back to this community and society as a whole. He mentored generations of students and, time and again, went far beyond math, offering life guidance, emotional encouragement, and quiet support to families whenever it was needed. So many families benefited from his generosity, and so many young spirits were inspired by him.

Today, our community has the opportunity to support him and his family.

Coach Plotnick has entered hospice care after a very difficult cancer battle. Your warm thoughts, remembrances, and pictures would provide comfort to Coach Plotnick and his family. Coach Plotnick gave so much of himself to his students and to this community over the past decades. Many of us would not be where we are today without his kindness, patience, encouragement, and belief in us.
