Support Coach Phillips' Healing Journey

The McGuffey Football team and boosters needs your prayers, and some help for one of our own! Coach Shawn Phillips has been having a tough time. He had surgery on his foot back in September, and it has been downhill since then. Having diabetes, it has made this very hard to heal. He had his fourth procedure yesterday, and the infection has almost been continuous since the beginning of this process. Coach Phillips has not been able to work since September, and as you can imagine, it has put a huge strain on his family. And of course, he has not asked for help, but we know he could use the help financially as well as the prayers that he will recover quickly and be pain free. We would just like to take away a little of the financial burden that has come with this and let him and his wife breathe a little easier knowing they have a little help to take care of the bills that are stacking up with him not working.

For those of you that don’t know Coach, he is one of the best, a favorite by many of the kids. He has been a coach at McGuffey for 15 years. He is always there for the kids, a listening ear when needed, the best sense of humor, always being a jokester. He always pushes the kids to be their best and is great at building their confidence. Not only is he a fantastic coach, but he is a great family guy. He is married to Melody and they have 4 children, Nathan, Jacob, Aaron and Jordan, a daughter in law Brittany, and a grandson, Wyatt, who is the apple of his eye, his pride and joy.

Please take a moment to say a prayer first and foremost for Coach, because above all, we don’t want him in pain. And, second please share this, and if you have some extra funds to help their family out, we know how much it would be appreciated.
