Support Coach Noom’s Cancer Battle

I am writing this today on behalf of our soccer family and all who know and love Coach Noom. We are looking to raise funds for his cancer treatments and any expenses needed through this time. Coach Noom has spent the last 20 years of his life pouring into young athletes and Christian men — not just teaching them how to be better on the field, but how to live with integrity, humility, and faith. If you’ve ever spent time around Coach Noom, you know his heart. Philippians 2 describes the character of Jesus as one who humbled himself, became a servant, and uplifted the world in love and care. That’s who Coach Noom is to us.

For me, it’s deeply personal. I first met Coach Noom when I was a kid at JFC. He was my coach then, my mentor in high school, and now he’s my coach in college. But more than that — he’s part of my testimony. He’s someone who showed me what it means to be a man who loves God, honors his family, and leads with compassion. There were times when he would not only drive me to practices but also take me to out-of-town club games himself, just to make sure I had the opportunity to grow and compete. That’s the kind of man he is.

At Trinity, it’s more than just a team — it’s a ministry. Under Coach Noom’s leadership, we don’t just train athletes; we build brothers in Christ. We learn what it means to be men who fear God, who carry ourselves with character, and who fight for each other on and off the field. To Coach Noom this is Jesus’ team. Coach Noom makes our team a family. He’s a father to us boys. And if you know him, you know it’s all about Family Time.

In 2021, Coach Noom was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, he’s walked a hard road filled with doctors’ visits, treatments, surgeries, and unimaginable pain and discomfort. Yet through it all, his faith has remained unshaken. He continues to show up for his soccer family — his own family of seven, including two kids currently in college, and the extended family of athletes and young men he’s mentored over two decades.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

We’re asking this incredible community that Coach Noom has poured his life into to give back. Any amount helps. The money from this fund will go toward his ongoing cancer treatments, surgeries, medical expenses, and support family expenses during this difficult season. Every donation, every prayer, every word of encouragement matters.

We love you, Coach Noom. To a lot of us you are a mentor and a father. May the Lord bless this fund, surround you with peace, and continue to use your life as a testimony of faith, courage, and servanthood.

Please join us in lifting up Coach Noom in prayer — for healing, for comfort, and for unwavering faith. Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” This is Coach Noom’s favorite verse and describes the place we all need to be in now. He has been there for so many of us. Now it’s time for us to be there for him.
