Ed "Coach Mo" & Jessica Morse have lived in Lee's Summit and been active members of the community for many years. Coach Mo is a fitness teacher at Ewing Marion Kauffman School, and has been a football coach at Lee's Summit High School for the past 14 years.

On April 8th, Ed received a call from his doctor advising him to go to the ER right away, due to low hemoglobin levels. He was immediately admitted, and after a three day hospital stay, blood transfusions, and many tests, a mass was found on his colon. The biopsy confirmed Adenocarcinoma.

Ed will have surgery to remove the mass on May 1st.

This was all very sudden and a huge shock, and there are still many of unknows that won't be answered until after the surgery and additional testing.

Ed & Jessica will both need to take quite a bit of time off of work after Ed's surgery.
