Our small-town community is rallying together to support one of our own — Coach Mike Kinkella — during an incredibly difficult time in his life. Mike has been more than just a coach; he’s been a mentor, a role model, and a friend to so many kids and families in our town. Now, he needs us.

Mike is facing the unimaginable: he just welcomed a beautiful new baby into the world and, shortly after, suffered the heartbreaking loss of his father. His father, Curtis "Curt" Kinkella has served and protected Roscommon Township as a police officer for 17 years and Chief of Police for 8 years, and was also a firefighter and Private Investigator after his retirement. He always gave back to his community. Curt lost his battle to cancer unexpectedly, as he was in remission. While Mike is trying to care for his growing family and mourn his loss, he’s also struggling with the overwhelming financial burden of funeral expenses.

No one should have to choose between giving their loved one a proper goodbye and providing for their new child — and that’s where we come in.

We’re asking our community, friends, and anyone who’s been impacted by Mike’s kindness and dedication to lend a helping hand. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering funeral costs and helping Mike get through this tough chapter with some peace of mind.
