My name is Vanessa, my son Adrien is a senior at Thurgood Marshall, and this is his 4th year on the tennis team. I’m reaching out to our tennis families on behalf of our amazing coach, Eddie. Coach goes above and beyond for our players, hosting practices during the summer months as well as during spring break with no compensation. He shows up because he wants our teams to succeed and he truly enjoys coaching. Coach has helped our players grow their skills every year.

Now he needs our help. Recently, Coach had a health scare; he’s got that under control, but unfortunately, after the fires, he has had fewer opportunities for private tennis coaching and has found himself behind on rent. He’s never been in this situation and was just sharing with me that he’s going to be evicted from his apartment in three days if he doesn’t pay his rent in full. I asked him if I could start a GoFundMe page; he was hesitant at first. He has never been in the position of needing help but is grateful for it.

I’m hoping we can all come together and help raise enough to cover Coach's rent and prevent him from being evicted. No amount is too small; every donation adds up and will be greatly appreciated.
