Coach Cris is a valued member of our Alameda soccer community and a wonderful coach who has always supported his players. On March 14, 2026, while on his way to coach a soccer game, he was involved in a serious car accident on the 880 freeway. A car merging onto the freeway sideswiped him, and moments later, a tow truck hit him from behind, totaling his car. Thankfully, Coach Cris is now recovering at home, but he is dealing with whiplash and soreness from the high-speed crash.

This accident has left Coach Cris with medical bills, attorney fees, and the urgent need to purchase a new car. Despite these challenges, he remains positive. Coach Cris is known for challenging his team, holding them to high standards, and always providing valuable feedback to help them grow and improve. His dedication and encouragement have made a lasting impact on everyone he coaches.
